The Spirit of Giving
Happy holidays! Christmas is full swing over here at our house. I’m working on getting all the last minute holiday shopping done so I can relax and enjoy next week. My goodness, I do love Christmas time! It’s a time where you can feel magic in the air. Speaking of magic, let’s talk about this mystical dining room Christmas centerpiece I designed for one of my good friends Susan. I felt blessed to be apart of this design project for so many reasons.
Susan is a wonderful person. She has a way about her that makes everyone in the room feel warm, welcome, and special. I just love her! She came to me a few weeks ago asking if I would help her decorate her dining room table for her bible study groups luncheon. This lunch was very special, because she and the other members of the group secretly pitched in to raise money for Hope for The Hungry.
The gift was given to their leader and her husband who are missionaries that help run the organization. What an incredible reason to host a luncheon! I feel honored to have been even a small part of it!
With pops of red, silver, and gold this tablescape design was fun to design. This buffalo plaid table runner may look familiar. I used it for my Thanksgiving tablescape last month. It goes great with this Christmas color scheme!
We ran fresh garland along the top. Added in a few sparkly Christmas ornaments with some pinecone cluster arrangements tucked in. Then added a touch of candlelight to set the mood along with a fresh centerpiece arrangement made from hydrangeas, red roses, and fresh Christmass tree clippings.
