14 Days of Valentines for Kids
Valentines Day is in a few weeks! This year I decided to surprise my kids with something we have never done before. Normally on Valentines Day, my kids wake up to a fun little goody bag filled with a few of their favorite treats. This is a tradition carried on for three generations in my family. My mom always used to play cupid and surprise me and my siblings on V-Day! My maternal grandmother used to do the same for her before that. This year, however, I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit by stretching out the love one day at a time with 14 Days of Valentines for Kids!
14 Days of Valentines
Here are some examples of our soon to be 14 Days of Valentines for my Kids. I included free downloadable templets I designed for my kids in case you wanted to start a new tradition of your own. Or one could use these free downloads to make individual Valentines and pass them out to friends and loved ones.
Valentine, you have my heart. Easy…just attach to a box of conversation hearts. Another option would be to cut out multiple paper hearts, make sweet notes with construction paper, and heart attack their room. Any kid is sure to love that!
You make my heart Pop! For this printable I used bubbles, but other fun options are a bouquet of balloons or Pop Rocks! I used to love those when I was a kid!
Have a POPPING good day Valentine! Use a bag of popcorn or this adorable marshmallow popcorn that I found at target.
Don’t be silly, of course, I’ll be your Vallentine! Include a can of Silly String. If you don’t like silly string, other great options for this are silly putty, a bendy straw, or a silly scoop stuffed animal.
Bubble Gum with a note that says I “CHEWS” YOU!
You’re Dino-Mite! Include a dino fizz surprize or any type of dinosaur toy. I recently saw a couple of dino options available in the Target dollar spot (dino pad of paper and pens). Another great option that kids will like is the Dino Oatmeal packets. Have you seen these? Inside the oatmeal packets are little dinosaur eggs that hatch out little candy dinosaurs while you eat. My kids think its one of the coolest breakfasts.
You are my main Squeeze with a squeeze tube of apple sauce.
You Make My Heart Bounce! Include any kind of bouncy ball.
My personal favorite! I love you more than Chocolate and that’s a lot! Include your kid’s favorite piece of chocolate.
I dig you! For this one, I bought each one of my littles a little tub of Kinetic Sand because my kids love to play with this stuff. It leaves no stickiness and cleans up easily. Other great options include a little shovel and pail filled with some candy or for boys a little toy loader or excavator truck.
Surprise your kids with a cupcake one day. Another printable that I made that is not pictured, but is included in the free download, is a donut printable that says “You dounut know how much I love you.” You could have donuts ready for your kids one morning. I’m sure they will love it!
A cute little worm I found in the Target dollar spot, but another great idea for this Valentine printable would be gummy worms.
I’m a Sucker for you Valentine! I found these Dylan’s lollipops at Target.
This one is especially for my 3-year-old. Valentine, I think you are a-Doh-able! Include a tub of Play- Doh.
The Grand Finally or Extras
Lastly, I made a couple of extra grand prize gifts to give my kids on actual Valentine’s Day! Some of their favorites. A Nerf gun for my son and a couple of L.O.L dolls for my girls.
