Host A Spooktacular Kids Halloween Party
For this ultimate kids Halloween party, I teamed up with my very talented and beautiful friend Juli from Flirting with Flavor. Can you say “Spookiness Alert?” This kids Halloween party we did together turned out to be one of the best!
Growing up, Halloween was as big of a deal as Christmas in our home. Every year my parents hosted the biggest Halloween party for all of our family and friends. My mom makes her famous chili and my grandpa would bring over dozens and dozens of donuts from our favorite donut shop.
All us kids would go trick-or-treating in one huge group. Being self-proclaimed smarty pants, we wore roller blades to increase the candy return, zipping from house to house filling up our pillowcases. My brothers often stayed behind to scare the poor little trick-or-treaters with a mini haunted house in our front yard. Sigh, sometimes I really miss being a kid on Halloween!
Halloween Parties are the best! Hosting this Halloween party with Juli for our kids and their friends was so much fun. Styling up a Halloween party can be difficult because most Halloween decorations tend to look chintzy. Allow me to share with how we put this kids Halloween party together.
Here is how we threw the best kids Halloween party!
First, let’s start with the tablecloth and spider web runner. Both are made from of fabric purchased from Walmart and sewn together with a simple stitch. The adorable spiderweb placemats are from Home Goods. So are the skull candlesticks, bird cages, gold stacked skulls, and silver jack-o-lanterns. The gold chargers were purchased from Hobby Lobby.
The fun spooky skull cups, plates, and sparkly twigs I scored at Dollar Tree. Walmart carried everything else (bleeding candles, potion bottles, and sparkly pumpkins) can be found in Chalk-O-Lantern Jack-O-LanterChalk-O-Lantern Jack-O-Lantern Halloween section. The supplies needed to make Dazzling Hospitality’s Chalk-O-Lantern Jack-O-Lantern kid favors tutorial found at this link here.
The spooky decor is the icing on the cake of making a fun Halloween party! Layering all the different colors and Halloween patterns together gave this party that magical and spooky touch. The colors I looked for when shopping were black, purple, orange, with splashes of gold a silver. Layer in sparkly twigs and pumpkins. Clustering them together gave this table that wow factor!
Now let’s talk food!
The oh so talented Juli did ALL of this delicious food for this kids Halloween party. In case you didn’t know, quite literally all of her food is amazing! No joke folks, every recipe I have made from her site turns out to be so incredibly tasty! My kids are big fans as well! I don’t know how she does it, but I envy her culinary talent.
Her Scream Cheese Chocolate Cake, Rice Krispie Treat Monsters, and Creepy Crawler Sour Apple Punch were a huge hit with the kids.
