Spring Themed Peter Rabbit Baby Shower
Just in time for spring! A Peter Rabbit themed Baby Shower to celebrate a loved one’s baby boy. Because even the smallest one can change the world!
Over the weekend I threw a Peter Rabbit baby shower for one of my girlfriends who is expecting a sweet little boy later this month.
This party was exciting as it was the first time hosting an event for friends in my new home.
The inspiration for this spring-themed Peter Rabbit baby shower was inspired by a photo found on Pinterest of a Martha Stewart spring party. Peter Rabbit was one of my favorite childhood stories growing up. My grandmother often read it to me during sleepovers at her house. It was the perfect theme for a springtime baby shower.
April Showers Bring Spring Flowers
Tulips, daffodils, poppy’s and hydrangeas are all in full bloom right now and they make the perfect centerpiece for this springtime garden party. All florals were purchased from my local Trader Joes. They are always my go to first for florals when putting together arrangements for any party. Their prices are great and they have a fabulous selection. Quick pro tip, call a few days before your event and give them your flower order and they will reserve them for you.
All the Peter Rabbit baby shower decorations were purchased from Marshall’s. I originally had similar items saved in my Amazon cart so I was excited when I spotted these. Marshall’s was priced a little cheaper than Amazon so it’s worth a look if you are planning to mimic this party for either a baby shower or Easter celebration. These Peter rabbit tags that I stuck in terra-cotta pots were actually Easter egg hunt markers. I used brown card stock paper to cover up the easter directions written on the cards with scotch tape. Inside the pots are a little styrofoam ball covered with moss purchased from the dollar store.
On the Menu
- Chicken salad sandwiches stuffed in a croissant (this is one of the best chicken salads you will ever eat. It’s a true crowd pleaser. A friend of mine shared this recipe with me a few years ago and I look forward to hosting just so I can make and eat these sandwiches)
- Kale salad
- Fruit and Veggie tray
- Deviled egg’s
- Mottarella bacon wraps
- Italian soda’s
- And of course one my recent go-to favs, a meat, and cheese charcuterie board.
It’s SPRING
The table runner was just made using fabric purchased from Hobby Lobby and sewing a straight hem stitch. The adorable green grass was also purchased from Hobby Lobby and can be found in their spring collection.
To keep with the gardening theme for favors, I planted succulents (from Lowes) in little mini pots purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Overall the Peter Rabbit baby shower was hit! It made me excited for Easter time (chocolate lovers represent!) and the bright fun Spring decor. The sweetest treat was celebrating my adorable friend and her soon to be born sweet bundle of joy!
