The Best Chocolate Fountain Bar!
Valentine’s day is right around the corner and nothing screams love more than CHOCOLATE! Chocolate fountains are truly a little piece of heaven. The first time I ever experienced a chocolate fountain bar, and I can remember it like it was yesterday, was at a wedding when I was a young teenager. It was such a lovely and mesmerizing sight to lay eyes on. Seemingly never-ending chocolate gushing waterfall seemed like a Willy Wonka fairy tale but this was no Hollywood studio trick. This was real life and as if to make it more heavenly, it was surrounded by an abundance of delicious treats!
I had no idea how many wonderful things you could dip into chocolate. Marshmallows, strawberries, oreo’s, pretzels, and yes even potato chips all taste better dipped in chocolate! In retrospect, I should not have been shocked that chocolate saucing almost anything is a win. Have to love those real-life “A-ha!” moments!
In our house, my kids love our chocolate fountain! They are always begging me to pull it out for their birthday parties and for any other party that I host. Despite a demanding life in the DiGiovanni home, the fountain has held up great and I have practically zero reservations in recommending the Wilton Chocolate Pro 3-Tier Fountain!. My only wish would be a self-cleaning button, because its a bit of a pain to clean. I have discovered the best way is to disassemble the tiers and use the sink to soak them in hot water. Most of the chocolate just melts away with just a little elbow grease and paper towel action needed to clean the base.

Chocolaty Chocolate Fountain Recipe
I have tried many different types of chocolate fountain recipes and I don’t love the ones that require using extra oil products. Here is one that I’ve created that uses only butter! This recipe makes enough chocolate for a four-pound chocolate fountain.
**Disclosure: the picture below depicts a less than ideal flowing chocolate fountain due to too many hungry mouths. To keep the waterfall gushing make sure to make LOTS of chocolate sauce. The recipe might seem like too much, but trust me too much chocolate is always a fallacy!
Chocolaty Chocolate Fountain Recipe
- 6 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 bars of Baker’s baking chocolate bar German sweet
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 2 -14 oz cans of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbs of vanilla extract
Instructions
Start with a medium to large saucepan. Add in chocolate chips, chopped Baker’s baking chocolate, and butter into the pan on low heat. Until the chocolate has melted, continually stir to keep the chocolate from burning and sticking to the bottom of the pan. Once the chocolate reaches a creamy consistency, whisk in milk and sweetened condensed milk. Stir in the vanilla extract and continue stir until smooth. Turn off the heat, pour into the fountain, and enjoy!
